Beyond acupuncture, she is also licensed to practice herbal medicine and specialized techniques, such as cupping, tuina, moxibustion, and various forms of acupuncture, as in auricular and neurological scalp acupuncture.
Kim has advanced training in neurological acupuncture and is certified in pediatric acupuncture. In her years of experience, she has collaborated with many other practitioners in integrated medical settings to optimize patient care. Her practice, A New Day Acupuncture and Herbal Clinic, focuses care in treating neurological disorders, pain management, immune support, women’s health, pediatric care, and digestive health.
Her approach to medicine is holistic, knowing that health encompasses our body as a whole unit, working in harmony. So viewing health through that lens, Kim’s aim of care becomes the overall well-being of each individual.
Enjoying opportunities in contributing towards a healthy community, Kim supports volunteer work. She was an active volunteer for the non-profit organization, Acupuncturists Without Borders, providing acupuncture to the Harvey Medical Relief Effort in 2017. She provided acupuncture to local Houstonians, tending to those who suffered losses from the devastating effects of the hurricane. She believes that the collective health of the community helps us all as individuals too.
Kim believes we may all be unique in who we are and yet we all want the same things in life, which is to live life with happiness and good health. It is with this kindness and heart that she cares for each and every one of her patients to achieve their fullest well-being.
